Dr. Samuel P. Eng (Chairman): Dr. Eng is the founder and Chairman of the Board of the WestSide Arts Foundation. He holds his Graduate Degree in Physiology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and his M.D. from the Medical College of Hampton Roads in Norfolk, Virginia. He currently practices as a physician with the Parkview Medical Group in Frederick, MD. He serves on several Boards of not for profit community, professional, and cultural organizations. Roderick N. Deacey (Vice-Chairman & Membership Director): Mr. Deacey is a nationally known singer/songwriter who also has over 20 years experience as a marketing/advertising executive with several internationally known media syndications under the Hurst Corporation. He holds his Bachelor’s Degree from University College at Bangor, England. He is an active participant in Downtown Frederick’s merchant/community affairs. John A. O’neill: Mr. O’neill is a native of Frederick. He graduated from the University of Maryland and spent more than 20 years in the area of Finance. John has also been working with clay for more than 25 years. He makes a wide variety of stoneware items including dishware, cookware, and architectural ceramics such as tiles and sink. O’neill’s Stoneware Design is located at the Creative Arts Studios in Frederick Robert N. Whalen: Mr. Whalen is a realtor with more than 20 years experience in the County of Frederick. As a native of Frederick, he remains an active participant in the cultural and community affairs and concerns of Downtown Frederick. Lisa A. Olney, Esq.: Ms. Lisa Olney is an attorney for the World Child International Adoption Agency. She received her Bachelor’s in Social Work at Pace University in White Plains, N.Y and her J.D. from the City University of New York Law School in Flushing, N.Y. Previously, she was the Executive Director of For the Love of a Child Adoption Agency in Downtown Frederick. Sheri A. D’Elia (Web Designer, Newsletter): Ms. D’Elia is an Arts Educator with over 11 years experience teaching in the public schools in New York State. She holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Art from the State University in New York at Potsdam and her Master’s Degree in Art Education from Syracuse University. She is a specialist in the development of internet based educational instruction. In addition she works as an independent artist on a freelance basis.
