Sarah Hay began to study painting and fine arts as a complement to her long professional career as a writer and editor. Her style is explorative, and she finds the greatest delight and satisfaction in asking “What if…?” as she makes artistic choices that focus more on invention than convention. She has lived in Frederick for seven years and has been juried into shows at the Delaplaine Visual Arts and Education Center, the Blue Elephant gallery, the Hanover (PA) Area Arts Guild, and Art at the Mill in Berryville, VA. She combines her love of writing with her passion for art by writing and editing articles for The Palette Magazine. She suspects there is a genetic component to her talent – many members of her extended family have enjoyed success in the arts.
